As an artist who has lived in St. Louis for all my life, Art Saint Louis' mission is representative of what I hold most dear. I strongly believe that community is at the heart of what makes the arts most impactful and productive. In extending the opportunity for exhibition to local contemporary artists, ASL allows for thoughtful engagement and rumination on humanity to occur [...] The ability to publicly declare what it means to experience humanity in a time such as ours is incredibly empowering, and I'm extremely grateful to ASL for sustaining these opportunities to foster empathy with the people of our city.
